Three Haikus

Three Haikus

i. sea

against shoreline rocks

the waves crash and chisel breaks

bruise to mock then leaves

ii. sand

parched afternoon winds

shoot the divine morning star

and shrapnel settles

iii. sun

wasn’t crowning thorns

but fusing flaring fanfares

on the seventh day
